SNEAK PREVIEW: Pitchfork in 3D presents Deerhunter
Pitchfork is about to roll out their amazing new 3D sessions and they're giving cool independent record stores (like this one) an exclusive preview a whole week early. We will be providing special awesome 3D glasses for y'all to strap on and check out the first 3D session by the one and only Deerhunter. Because things taste better in 3D, don't they?

EXCLUSIVE WAREHOUSE FINDS:
brand new copies of rare vinyl at special prices...
We've been doing a little vinyl archeology here at the shop and let me tell you, it's dirty, dusty, hazardous work, but because we love our customers so much, we're going to make some of the fruits of our sweaty labor available on Record Store Day. For you funk soul scavengers, we have some very rare promo 7"s by Kon and Amir and DJ Muro on Rapster Records, and for you Techno nerds, a few copies of the even rarer Multiple Mirrors EP by Second-Hand Satellites on Three's Hallucination Ltd. label - a bonafide classic and one of Taimur Agha's "Top 5 of All Time." For the house heads, a real treat... the world's last 3 copies of UQ-009, the super limited and super deep Small Oak by Jus-Ed. These came straight form the man himself, and he was even kind enough to sign them for the occasion. Trading now on Discogs for 45-65 Euros, we'll be parting with these bad boys for a special one day only price... Once they're gone, they're gone, so on Saturday morning, make sure you brew some extra strong coffee and get a move on down to halcyon.

I Love Vinyl Tee-Shirts
While Scribe, OP!, Amir, JOn Oliver and The Twilite Tone are on the decks we'll be hawkin' wares... I Love Vinyl logo T-shirts will be for sale. You can get yours and have the Dream Team sign it! And don't Don't miss I Love Vinyl, now twice monthly, once "on the B-side" at Southpaw and on the final Saturday of the month at The Gallery at Le Poisson Rouge.

Records by the Pound: The new dollar bins!..
We're currently marking down tons of records in order to make some fresh dollar bins. But these goodies won't just be $1 per record. They're going to be $1 per pound! On average that will work out to about fitty cent a record. Nice. Price. Many crates worth!

Once again... Opening EARLY: 10:00am
Set your alarm. On Record Store Day, halcyon will be opening at 10:00am And try to ease up on the partying the night before. You're gonna need sharp eyes and nimble fingers for perusing those stacks!

and of course... Limited Edition Record Store Day Releases galore!!
All these titles are on order, some may not arrive... first come, first served, one per customer per title. No saving, holding, hording of any kind. Behave.

So... sad about the demise of the White Stripes? Well quit blubbering and console yourself with these four fine limited Record Store Day offerings from Jack White and friends...

Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi Present Rome ft. Jack White & Norah Jones Two Against One b/w Black 7"
The debut release from the highly-anticipated ROME project produced by Danger Mouse with Daniele Luppi. Jack White wrote the lyrics and sings on Two Against One and Norah Jones takes the vocal duties for Black.

Karen Elson Vicious/In Trouble With The Lord 7"
Clear vinyl with peach-colored rose petals inside the record. A cover of the Lou Reed classic backed with an unbelievably visceral outtake from Elson's The Ghost Who Walks LP.

The White Stripes Let's Shake Hands b/w Look Me Over Closely
limited red/black swirled colored vinyl reissue of the White Stripes first ever release from 1998.

The White Stripes Lafayette Blues b/w Sugar Never Tasted So Good
limited white/black swirled colored vinyl reissue of the White Stripes second single from 1998.

Other highlights... this one from Numero will be especially hard to find...

Local Customs: Pressed At Boddie (Numero)
The nice people at the very cool rare groove/rock reissue label known as the Numero Group have bestowed upon the masses this very exclusive RSD release on both CD and LP- - a collection of 16 tracks spanning the genres of soul, folk, funk and synth pop. Limited? Yep! Essential? Hell yep!
